Pinot Gris 2021
Picked from a block in the North Western corner of the famous Langhorne Creek region of South Australia. Rich loamy soils over limestone give up a beautiful aromatic generous white wine suitable for immediate consumption or further enjoyment over the next 2 to 3 years properly cellared.
Try it with some spaghetti vongole.
Colour: Light straw with subtle bronze highlights.
Nose: Notes of Nashi pear, apple and allspice and a creamy complexity.
Palate: A rich fruit entry leads to a intense palate of ripe apple tarte and quince with a light touch of phenolics. The finish is long with almond creaminess and well balanced acidity. Drinking well now, this Pinot Gris will continue to improve over the next 3 years.
